Mission of the BS/SE
The mission of the undergraduate program in Systems Engineering is to equip students with the ability to participate productively in the many professional activities associated with the engineering of a system that satisfies the needs of clients over the life cycle of the system. These activities include the brokering of information and knowledge between clients and implementation specialists to assure that a system is properly defined, developed, and deployed. The term system is interpreted broadly, examples being information systems, network and communication systems, defense systems, health delivery systems, transportation systems, manufacturing systems and corporate processes.
